Rachel Inman is a Staff UX Design Lead at Google where she drives innovative projects across Google Maps leveraging emerging technologies. She currently oversees a team of UX designers, researchers, visual artists, and writers focused on creating a mobile outdoor augmented reality pedestrian navigation experience.

Previously at Google, she led design for Google Earth, Project Sunroof, Google Earth Outreach, and Google Apply. Prior to joining Google, she designed experiences for Nike and Samsung at the interactive agency, R/GA. For the past 5 years, she’s enjoyed teaching design classes around the world in New York, Mexico City, Moscow, and Barcelona. She’s been honored to speak about her work in print and on stage at IxDA’s Interaction South America, Strelka Institute for Media, Architecture & Design, and Google’s I/O. Inman earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial design with an emphasis on interaction and urban design from Carnegie Mellon University.
