Service Innovation needs designers creativity. This is a little tip of what students are going to learn with Vincenzo Di Maria during the first Pill, Concept Generation for Service Innovation, designing their first service concepts.
Indeed “concept generation” is a creative divergent phase of the design process that takes place after problem definition/reframing and it is useful to translate research insights into new ideas and opportunities. Generally oversimplified and referred to as “brainstorming”, concept generation is a set of transferable tools and practices that can enable anyone to think differently, exploring lateral thinking methods, facilitate collaborative ideation sessions and encouraging emerging concepts.
The hands-on session of these days will focus on co- creation and idea visualization, problem solving and the role of creativity in a service innovation process. We are ready for this new challenge!
