Today started the last pill of this edition. The module, led by Ottla Arrigoni, covers the main elements of service design in the public and third sector. It focuses on how the design feels in these industries, the possible type of projects, and the role service design might play in the organizations. Thanks to this course, students will touch on the responsibilities, power, and ethical considerations of the space; and look at how all the phases of the design process, from researching, co-designing, prototyping, and delivering adapt, modify and follow unique steps when applied in critical services as the ones provided in these sectors.
Service design applied to the public sector is a topic of growing interest all over the world, not only within the international community of service designers. It's thus crucial to educate young service designers on its principles and scenarios.
